Honestly brudda I couldn't care less about how long bro takes to come to the counter I love eating the hotdogs here after hitting up the arcade near it shit lowkey cures my crippling depression for a bit when I dine in at the table in the corner alone. The guy that always comes to the counter seems chill.

The fries here are delicious and amazing. The dog itself isn’t bad, it’s a nice meal for sure. However, I’ve been here twice and both times I had to wait over 10 minutes for service

Ordered #1 hot dog with fried cutlet, and kabocha croquettes! To my pleasant surprise, the hot dog bun was toasted and the pork cutlet had a great amount of crunch to it. I love kabocha and croquette, so I enjoyed it a lot. If you like japanese-style fast-food, this is the spot. I'll definitely visit again.

Seems to be an extension of Kawawa (located next door to Ajidog's counter). Small space with 3 tables inside. Ordered the Teriyaki Beef Hot Dog and Beef Yakisoba Hot Dog, each as a combo for an additional $3 (with fries). We were pleasantly surprised by the large portion of fries, which came piping hot with a container of ketchup. Obviously fries are nothing special, but portion-wise, the $3 is worth it for the 'side.' Found the beef yakisoba particularly flavourful and fresh, but had to ask for cutlery as the noodle topping slid off quite easily making it messy to eat! Satisfied our curiosity as a rival to Japadog, especially being conveniently located in Metrotown Mall. Would return to try another type of hot dog!

AND just when I thought it couldn't get better IT CAN? YOU CAN MOTOYAKI YOUR DOGS, like the torched cheese is sooo good. LIKE THIS PLACE IS SO MUCH BETTER THEN JAPA DOG,they even started giving forks. THIS IS MY RIDE OR DIE JAPANESE HOT DOG PLACE.

The smash burgers are awesome I got the tempura burger and the smash burger. Taste amazing. Simple ingredients good taste. Don't be afraid to order if the worker is gone. There is a button at the front to press and call them

Very reasonable prices, delicious meal just a small venue if you want to dine-in. I ordered the Teriyaki beef dog and the cha shu dog. Teriyaki beef with seaweed with a hot dog below it and cha shu drizzled with sauce and hot dog below that too. There were only 3 small tables inside this place.

If you're craving a fresh twist on Asian fusion, AjiDog in Burnaby, BC, should be at the top of your list. Nestled conveniently in the Metrotown area, this spot redefines the hot dog experience by blending traditional Japanese flavors with classic comfort food. Their menu is a playground of inventive creations like the Beef Yakisoba Dog, Chashu Dog with Motoyaki, and the Fish Burger, each bite brimming with bold, authentic tastes.

The standout feature here is definitely the Motoyaki topping—a torch-melted cheese glaze that elevates their dogs to another level, delivering a smoky, creamy richness that complements the savory meats and crisp textures perfectly. Pairing your dog with their generous portion of fries is a must; these aren't just any fries, but piping hot, golden, and irresistibly crispy, making the $3 combo upgrade an absolute bargain.

What I particularly appreciate about AjiDog is how they handle textures and layers of flavor. The toasted buns provide a satisfying crunch, while offerings like the pork cutlet dog deliver a delightful contrast with a crunchy exterior and tender filling. The kabocha croquettes add a sweet, mellow counterpoint that beautifully balances the savory notes.

While the space is modest — just a few cozy tables — the vibrant, no-frills atmosphere adds to the charm. It’s a place where the food speaks loudest, and it definitely delivers. Though the service can sometimes lean toward the slow side during busy hours, the delicious, thoughtfully prepared food makes the wait worthwhile.

AjiDog stands out not just as a competitor to famed Japanese hot dog chains, but as a beloved local gem offering incredible taste, unbeatable value, and mouthwatering innovation. Whether you're on the hunt for a quick bite after some arcade fun or a satisfying meal to lift your spirits, AjiDog’s fusion of Japanese-style hot dogs and crispy fries offers an experience that’s as comforting as it is exciting.
